Instant Tax Services file my income taxes and did not advise me upfront that the fees were almost $400! They then advised me i could get $100 upfront and issued me a check. That is where it all began... They advised me I "had" to go to the Ace check cashers across the street from them to have the check cashed. I went there only to be told that Instant Tax Services owes them so much money for checks that did not clear! I called ITS and let them know what I was told and they claimed it must have been some type of mix up and to take it to the bank they use which was Bank of America. I got to Bank of America only to be told that the check could not be cashed, and they could not release why. I went back to the ITS office explaining what had just happened and they told me I had gone to the "wrong" Bank of America and sent me to another one, of which still did not cash the check. Leaving there I call the toll free # and speak to a supervisor at ITS who apologized for everything and told me that the best thing for me to do is just turn the check in and cancel my taxes with them. Wth?! Please do not use them if you know better. It's not even worth the hassle.
