In October, Concord Diablo Federal Credit Union (CDFCU) threatened to repossess my van because I was behind on my payments. I arranged with their credit counselor to pay $1,820.00 by Cashier's check by Monday to avoid repossession. I took the Cashier's check in early, by Noon on Saturday, and they STILL repossessed the van only 4 hours after receiving my money!
Once they had the van, they made me pay an ADDITIONAL $3,917.35 to get it back. When I took them to Small Claims court for their dishonesty and misconduct, they called the entire loan on the van in retribution. They continually add attorney fees and court costs to the loan. When these problems started, my payoff was only around $13,000. I gave them over $14,000 to pay off the van, but they REFUSED my payoff!
Now, six months later, they say I owe over $23,000, but refuse to provide an accounting as to where the extra $10,000 came from!
