Portfolio Recovery apparently purchased my old credit debt in 2009 and then sued me December in Civil court. I fought it and 2 days before trial they requested the Court dismiss the action against me. The case was dismissed 8. I sent letters to all 3 Credit Bureaus to get the Portfolio Acct removed or updated on my reports. The 3 Credit Bureaus sent me copies of my credit report. On the report for Portfolio they have been reporting for at least a year that I have been making $20 payments to their agency on the acct they sued me over. I have not made any payments to them nor have I made any type of payment arrangements verbally or in writing. I feel that they have reported this fraudulently to the Credit Bureaus in order to keep the Statue of Limitations for collections open longer. They are making it seem as though I have been paying them and then they can continue to harrass me for years and years if they want to. I filed a complaint with FTC. Anything else I can do?
