I worked for this company for almost 20 years, started at the bottom and worked my way almost to the top. Almost is the key word here, 1 person over me which was the manager, whom at one point was under me...
I was called into this poor excuse for a manager's office one day to be notified my services were no longer needed, being that I was not part of the "click" I had no chance... If you didn't kiss this persons big fat tattoo rear end you were screwed. It didn't matter how long you had been there or what respect you had earned from your peers. Excellent attendance, no write ups, or any disciplinary actions did not matter here!
On top of this, this poor excuse screwed me out of 2/3 of a severance package that was due. The "click" is free to come and go as they please, miss as many days as they please, talk about employees as they please. The poor excuse sends emails joking about how some employees are bumbling idiots. I have seen many, have been in meetings where these employees are brought up and joked about, have been advised to look for ways to fire the mentioned bumbling idiot, which was accomplished after I left.
To sum it up, if you plan to go to work for this poor excuse of a manager at this office be prepared to kiss a*, and try your best to be part of the "click", and hit your numbers. And it also helps to be a female, for some reason there are very few guys that make it there. And the ones who do have to kiss a* extra hard or they are gone.
