The ads in the newspapers will read something like "Work with an invesment company finding foreclosure properties - $5000 finders fee or split profits 50/50" Well this sounded good so I called the telephone number and they made an "apppointment" and set a time for me to meet with a Mr. Ed Parker. I went to the "interview" where a Mr. Ed Parker passed out a rinky-dink copy of a "personality profile" test to "see if you have the right personality for this type of work".
After about 10 other people showed up for this "appointment" I began to get a little suspicious and sure enough Mr. Parker led everyone to another room where he will make his "pitch for a wonderful investment program where by you could get the "$5000 finders fee or split profits 50/50" IF YOU WOULD ONLY INVEST AS A "FINDER" A FEE OF $2527.67 OR BE A "MENTOR" FOR ONLY $8,027.67!
Wow! What a deal! Just great for people that thought they were going "work with us".
Not only that, but Mr. Parkers presentation was a re-hash of programs that are already available and have been for some time, (Carlton Sheets, Russ Whitney, and many other "real estate" gurus.) He made it sound like people that were in the foreclosure process are just waiting around for you to come and "save" their credit and you would only have to go to your local bank and ask for REO's and the bank president would greet you with open arms and just thank you for coming by and helping him get rid of all of his REO properties... And at a huge discount too! Just so much BS if you have any idea about real estate investing.
Just another scam on the BAD BUSINESS BUREAU
The least they could do is tell you that there is an "INVESTMENT REQUIRED" so people won't waste their time thinking this a legitimate job offer.
