Before you let them finance your lease read the fine print because they will steal from you

In 2007 I leased a car which was financed by US BANK. I made the mistake of glossing over the fine print and well... With US BANK dont do that because they have it worded to be used against you... And they will.

Throughout the life of the 48 month lease I never missed nor was I late on a payment. My reward was a $854.45 bill to end the lease. Yes I did my part, paid all payments ontime, kept the milage way below the maximum amount, kept the car nice and finished the entire lease. How does US BANK respond... Pay me more. They attempted to charge me a $395 loan termination fee. Then an inspector came to review the car. She said it looked beautiful and there was no damage. No the corporate wonks are not going to let a lease just end with a good customer. They found some scratches and a chip in a lense over the taillight. They called is excessive wear and tear and billed me for $399.84 plus tax. When I disputed it they referred me to fine print that allows them to charge you for just about any minor issue with the car. Language that we skip over because we think we are dealing with people who exercise good faith... Not US BANK.

Here is the best part. When they took my car away I asked if they were taking it to make repairs and the tow operator said no right to auction.US BANK charged me for repairs it did not make. When I pointed that out to the corporate lawyers they referred me to the fine print which says that I have to pay even if the bank does not make repairs.

Please do not think that US BANK will deal in good faith. They wont. Dont think you will get customer service. You wont. They will use the contract you sign against you. Do not sign a car lease if the financing is through us bank.
