My credit card was stolen and maxed out!
It was a month before i even knew it had happened! Then came my statement! I immediatley called the company and notified them of the situation, and they told me to get a police report (which i did) and faxed it to them, along with a personal declaration that i had nothing to do with the theft or charges upon said card!
They notified me that they recieved all necessary info and would notify me when they were through with their investigation! (this never happened for three (3) months, finally i called them back at the loss prevention dept and they informed me that they had no information from me whatsoever!
I THEN WENT BACK TO THE POLICE DEPT, AND GOT ANOTHER REPORT, FAXED IT TO THEM AND ANOTHER MONTH GOES BY AND NO WORD FROM THEM! (ALTHOUGH THEY CERTAINLY HAD NO PROBLEM CALLING ME AT ALL HOURS OF THE DAY (every day) at least 6 times each day, to let me know that i was extremely over my limit, and was being charged late fees over the limit fees, ect:
2 weeks after this they call me and tell me that they did after all have all the info they needed and even apologized for making me run all over town for nothing! As well as asking me to pay off the entire balance until they were done with their investigation and then they would credit my account for the full amount! (like i have 1500.00 to just throw around at any given time! And now today the29th of april i get a letter saying that they never ecieved anything from me, and that i was going to be liable for thewhole amount!
THEY WANTED ME TO SEND THEM BACK THE CARD AND they never even sent me a replacement card in the first place! So now they are going to report it to the credit agencies and all that! I was with them for 4 and a half years, was never late, always paid more than the min amt due, and never got but 1 line increase, and had to literally beg them for that! Not to mention the annual fee and that rip off of a monthly participation fee!
So that is my wonderful story, and they will be getting a copy of this as well! The last co, that tried this bull with me recieved a lovely return payment envelope with some kitty litter in it along with some choice morsels as well if you know what i mean!!! I feel nothing doing that! Anyway, thanks for letting me post this, because these people should not be in business and i dont see how they can legally get away with it!
