I graduated with my master's in 2006 and have paid my student loans diligently until I became unemployed March. I have filed the correct paperwork every six months in order to defer my payments, however most recently Edfinancial changed my deferment to forbearance the last time.in addition, this last time I sent in paperwork they denied request, even going so far as indicating I did fill out the form properly, or sign it (which I did)... It is not hard to fill out an unemployment deferment request, as I completed them previously and their form did not change.
