From April until Sept 20th i've had nothing but trouble from Crescent Processing. First they sent the wrong machine, not the one that was requested, sent the replacement and tried to charge me $50 for the "exchange" fee. I got $25 refunded after a 45 minute call to "customer service???". Next 2 machines (in six months) had transactions to fail all the time. But some customers ending being double-charged in spite of showing "transaction failed" on the receipt.
Lost sales, too, because the cards would not go through. Quoted fees by the company were never met plus I had "swipe fees" for the failed transactions added on and a "corporate fee" of $98 that my sales rep said I should not have been charged, but they would not take it off my statement after many phone calls. Company said even though I was not a corporation, it was just a name they had for a fee. HUH???
The local sales rep. Advised me to lie to the company at least 2 times to solve problems... Which i did not do. After too much time settling bookkeeping problems, having angry customers come in for double charges, OR not being able to charge at all due to machine failure, and losing sales and having to re-stock items, I wrote a letter calling it quits by the end of Sept. Sept 21st, without warning or a call about my complaint letter, they shut-off service, which again cost me a sale. Now somehow they feel justified in charging the $495 cancellation fee. I got scammed by Crescent Processing Company.
