I was applying for a credit card unsercured, and didnt know I wasnt supposed to give my routing# and checking acct.#. They tried to take $156.00 from my account, and i was already over-drawn, so the bank sent it back, but i was charged fees for a bouned check.
I never applied for a cataloge credit card, and they never sent me a card, but tried to charge me. I called them up, i got their # from my bank and they said they would try to cancel this. Well, today i received a credit card in the mail 4-13-04, which they said they would take $200.00 from my checking account. I cut the card in half and sent it back with the other papers they sent me, with a letter that i dont want this card and that i am overdrawn in my account.
I tried to get in touch with them by phone but it was busy the whole time. The only number they gave was a activation #. My bank said they wont close my checking acct. And give me another one because i should have known better.
I receive my ssi payments direct into this account, and thats all the money i live on. I am in senior housing and really didnt understand what i was doing. I hope this can be solved. I dont know what to do.
