Rip off Fee credit cards

In early February, we received a phone call from Second chance credit explaining that we would receive a credit card with a $2,000 limit the first year, it would go to $5,000 the second year and in the third year we could apply for a 10,000 line of credit. All at 0% finance and interest. All we had to do was pay $299.00 for a benefit package, then the credit card we arrive in the mail.

They withdrew the money from our account and when we received our bank statement, we called the phone and became suspicious when they were not the same company that we had originally dealt with.

When we called Second Chance, they were very convincing, saying that the company we called was their processor, and not to worry, they were going to reimburse the money and use a different processor, since the original company was taking to long. They did that, so of course we thought this was a legitimate company.

On March 26, they withdrew $249.00 in the form of a check that they drafted. On march 29th I received a phone call from a Company called US Benefits, offering a similar credit card, but this time with my benefit package, I would receive a free cell phone, a satellite dish and dell computer. All for $169.00 I asked the rep for a phone number, because I wanted to discuss it with my husband, she said there was no call back number and said, If you have to think about it, you obviously don't want it! And hung up on me.

I checked them out on the BBB and also on the consumer complaints and it was then that I became aware that Second Chance, Guardian Financial Benefits, US Benefits along with many other aliases were the same company, with the same address. They just keep changing names so when you check them out on the BBB they do not have an unsatisfactory report.

PLEASE BEWARE! If it's too good to be true, than it is. Luckily, we caught it in time and my bank is going to reimburse us the money, but from the other reports I have read, most people are not so luck and they are out the money.

It's a shame when some one is scammed out of money, but these people prey on those of us who have bad credit and can't get a high limit credit card.

Remember, they go by many different names; these are only a few that I came up with:
Guardian Benefits, Second Chance Credit, US Benefits, Superior Benefits, Financial Benefits, Global World Benefits, World Global and many, many moreAll operating out of the same exact address.
