Ripoff Over charges, Incorrect Charges, Took Advantage of, Dishonest

I have had this account for quite a while and for a long time it was in good standing. However, everything I turned around there was another fee for this or that. Eventually this account was sold to an agency.

I had been paying on this account and spoke with a different representative who was QUITE rude. He informed me that my 150.00 payment was not enough although I would be making another payment within a week. This was also at the end of the month is it a coincidence they were trying to meet their goal??? Since I was informed my payment was not enough and they were NOT going to process it it SHOULD NOT have hit my bank, right? Well, you would have thought.

I put a stop on the check just in case and they did in fact present it for payment. When I called them they then said this was not the case and that they had not said that. Within a few months the account is sold AGAIN. The first company is calling me and trying to settle for 1200 if I could pay that day. I couldn't and the account was sold again.

I was called by Academy Collection Services in February about my outstanding account. The agent informed me that they had called once before and left a message with my teenager which I was not aware of. We made an arrangement of 200 for Jan, 683 in Feb, 683 in March and 683 in April.

Today I called to see if I could adjust my 683 to 483 for March due to an unexpected expense. I asked that they take 883 in April. I was informed that they could not, this would nulify our agreement and the entire balance would be due in full within 24 hours. He, Thomas Hall said we could discuss it all evening, but that it wouldn't matter. I explained that I had to have my car repaired and that I was TRYING to pay the bill. He stated that they had had my account since August and although I had not received any communication from them they couldn't make any sort of arrangement due to the age of the account. He also said that they had tried to phone me several times but that I have a privacy block on my line so they could not reach me. So it's my fault that they couldn't make thier phone number visable. He said "do what you have to do" and here I am.
