I had car policy with this agency for 10 years /- until I purchased a new car (a 2007 in 2007). Their rates were higher than many other places, so I switched to Allstate Insurance (at the time they were offering the lowest rates).
I have been with Allstate now for 4 years /- and my rates (which were already pretty high) kept on climbing. When I asked my Allstate agent why my rates were going up (I am single / female / 31/ no tickets on record / drive a sedan that was aging) he lied to me and told me it was the make and model of my car. That it was just expensive to insure.
The first company I contacted to do a price comparison was Roy West's State Farm Insurance Company. They quickly gave me a quote for the same policy amounts and told me that I would be paying $62 a month instead of the $143 a month that Allstate was charging. Needless to say I did a little more shopping on line (there were a few lower rates at other companies), I ultimately with Roy's company (I mostly dealt with Darrin) again because of the prior way that they treated me and their honesty with me. I recommend them highly to anyone looking to deal with nice / responsive / honest people.
