Beware of opening a new account or even maintaining a current account with American Savings Bank. They assigned myself and another customer the same account number causing our accounts AND FUNDS to be linked and combined. When it was finally discovered and there was a dispute over the funds, instead of taking full responsibility for their inexcusable scew up... They sent ME a bill for $1,500 and turned my good name into ChexSystems. I have requested numerous times that they remove me from ChexSystems and own up to their error with no avail. Guard your money and good name. Bank with someone else!
