I live in the Kansas City MO area and heard about this new bank at the time called "Bank Midwest". They put on a good advertisment so I decided to give them a try. I pulled my funds from my old bank and opened an account with Bank Midwest of Lexington Mo. I had started with really good sevice and like most bad companies, things started down hill!
I drive a truck over the road and I'm gone for weeks at a time and all my pay was being Direct Deposited into my account. Well, It started with when I would get home, My moneys was nowhere to be found! I'd have to call the bank and go threw all kinds of hassle just to find my money! I had a insurance co auto withdraw $25.00 a month from my account. Well... As the problems with the bank got worst, I decided I would withdraw all my moneys from this bank and close my account. I also notified the insurance company known as TVC of OK City, OK to stop all auto withdraws!
Well... I had to leave out of town for work and in 3 weeks when I got back in town, I found out that this insurance co had attempted a 1 auto withdraw. The bank, Bank Midwest had acted as if it was a bad check and billed me for None sunifangant Funds and charged me a $25.00 fee and being I was out of town and didnt get the money to them in the 5 days the letter stated, they put me on record with Check Services!!! I paid them there $25.00 and they told me I'd be taken off of Check Services, but I was lied to! I had tried to open a check account with another bank and was told I owed Bank Midwest money... So I called them and they stated that I don't!!! I told them to call Check Sevices and tell them that... She stated that she cant and that I should just wait till the 6 years is over so I can automaticly be removed from it!
Well, they flat out lied to me. They told me to pay the $25.00 and I would be taken off Check Sevices and it would show paid... NOT DONE! They got there money 4 years ogo and I still cannot bank anywhere!!! I have 4 children and want to buy a house but becouse of there none caring adutude, over a misly $25.00 with they have been paid in full, I cannot get a bank account... I cannot save anything for my childrens future or even get a loan! They wont even give me the phone number to this Check Services co so I can talk with them! Please, if you can help me, Id be forever gratefull! Its been 4 years and counting. As of 3-15-04... Check services has me as owing Bank Midwest $25.00 which Bank Midwest has full records of it being paid in full 4 years ago. If you care about your money, your family, and your good name... Dont do buisness with "bank midwest" in kansas city area... Esp. The Marshall or Lexington branches!!! Learn fron my faults!
