My husband and I, like many others nationwide, have recently become the unwitting victims of those soulless dogs at Prime One Financial. We were first approached by the company in January of this year at which point my fiancee at the time agreed to sign up for a Mastercard "with a $2000 cash advance". Two months and about five phone calls later, a big white envelope filled with absolute BS arrived, complete with a "home-made" application for a— ridiculous as it may seem— credit card!
So fast forward to March 8 when— gasp! — another $187.00 is deducted from our account... With outstanding checks mailed off, a bare cupboard and another week until payday, we were (are) in a horrible situation to say the least... After calling the company, "Mary-Anne" (they probably use pseudonyms) apologized for the "computer error" and promised that the money would be in our account by today (03/17/04).
Woke up this morning and was still broke so decided to do some investigating and was APPALLED when after searching Google for Prime One was immediately directed to this site! Relieved but saddened to know that we're not the only ones out there who have been scammed, but want to make them pay & get the word out on this fraud. Already called the FBI and filed a report, going down to my bank in the morning! Good luck to all!
