Lincoln hardship
Lhr heather lane, jennifer ellen, is there really any honest businesses in this money hungry greedy world?!

I have come to accept the fact that I am one of those people who have to learn the HARD way, and people have no conscience whatsover when it comes to scamming money out of people like myself. Let me explain.

Since I have been trying to modify my home loan. That's a whole long drawn out story in itself. Just when I was about to give up I came across a company that put together this really impressive modification package for me, for the small price of $800.00. And I know it was impressive because Bank of America informed me of this. That's my mortgage comnpany by the way.

After faxing them this 29 page package of all my expences, my income, what they stood to lose if it went up for sheriff"s sale, they said I qualified for the HOPE program. Oh, and by the way, they had also sent me a letter in February that my home was going up for sheriff"s sale on May 6. So after having many conversations with BOA, some people saying " Yes you qualify, others saying" No you don't", when it came down to the month of April I started looking for other avenues.

That's when Lincoln Hardship shows up. I spoke with a gentleman named Jerry and totally had me hooked on the fact he could make my situation all better, I meen he really had me going. I felt such a relief I was literally crying, breaking down on the phone about how I had spent this 800 and for nothing and I am going through a seperation, etc. I think he may have felt bad for me. He wanted $1500.00 and a bunch of other info, but I didn"t make my decision just yet because I did not have the cash.

I continued to negotiate with BOA, because there should have no reason to not want to work with me. After all, banks were given money for that stimulous package right? At least that was what that first company explained to me.

So it came down to May 4th and I was literally on the phone with this women from BOA for an hour argueing. She explained that May 6, my home was being sold in sheriff's sale and they would Not postpone it! Then I remembered Lincoln Hardship and called Jerry, who I thought was going to be my hero! But instead I got Demanche Clemente, what a name huh? He explained the fact that Jerry had moved on to greener pastures and he could be my hero.

So, I got the $1500.00 together the next day which was Wednesday, now mind you sale is Friday. I electronically signed and everything. Then he said to fax the sherriff"s sale letter to him and that someone would be getting ahold of me the next day at about 8:00am. I did as I was told. I faxed everthing from work, then I left because I was worried about what was going to take place on friday.

I got home and immediately started calling them to make sure they had got the forms. At this point it was Ivanna I was working with. She said she would get to me in 20 minutes, and that turned into 4 hours. She explained she was talking with her supervisor about my case. To make a long story short at 10:00 Thursday evening someone explained to me Bank of America sent me a sheriff's sail letter and posted on Ohio sherriff's webpage in hopes I would get scared and abandon my home.

At that point I was relieved, but ticked! So, the next step Lincoln had me do was send all my home docs to them. Yes, I was, am, stupid and desperate enough to do this. Now when you try to get ahold of them, it's a dead end. The website posted is bogus, and no phone number. So now, all my important home papers are out in limbo somewhere and if you total it up, I am out $2600.00.

I believe I give up on any loan modification or help like that. Now I am just seeking advise on bankruptcy. Like what chapter, before or after they forclose on me for sure.
