Failure to release lien on car for 7 years

I bought an automobile in California in 2001 by having an car loan from Lender of America. I repaid the mortgage in May. After I lately (June) experimented with market the car, I came across that Lender of America hadn't launched their loan around the car. The very first BoA broker I talked with desired to cost me $20 to get a loan release record. I rejected and named the Florida DMV to find out just what I needed. They explained that BoA had a need to launch the loan electronically via the FL DMV program.

I then tried to obtain in contact with BoA (7/12). After being hung-up on numerous occasions, I eventually got to a realtor called Diane California. She originally explained that it'd consider her a couple of minutes to place the info in to the program. After I pushed her to explain whether she intended the DMV program, after many models of Q&A, she stated: no, she was simply typing in a solution for another person to deal with. After I questioned her after I might anticipate this another person to really get onto the FL DMV program and launch the loan, she mentioned it'd get 7-10 business days. After I informed her which was totally undesirable - they'd previously had 7 DECADES release a the loan, she stated she'd place a hurry onto it and also have it solved within 48 hours.

It wasn't. I named the FL DMV four business days afterwards (7/18) and was informed that BoA hadn't submitted the loan release.

I called BoA back today (7/19) and talked having an adviser called Jacob Landrum, who stated that BoA filed the loan discharge recently, although he couldn't inform me what period it'd been submitted. He provided no clarification or apology for not achieving their guaranteed recovery period of 48 hours. I subsequently named the FL DMV back, simply to be informed the loan hadn't yet been launched by BoA.

I then called BoA back and talked to a realtor called Honda Collins, who had been not able to supply any more information. I subsequently required a boss and was place in contact with Tonnisha Taylor, who explained that Diane California couldn't have guaranteed me a 48-hour recovery since their common transformation was 7-10 days. I assured Ms. Taylor that Ms. Washington had which actually Ms. Collins had observed the guaranteed 48-time recovery within the program. She subsequently stated that if Ms. Washington had assured me a 48-time transformation, she shouldn't did so.

I then asked Ms. Taylor why a two-second job – processing the loan launch within the FL DMV program – must consider that lengthy to accomplish and he or she responded that “the broker needed to analyze the problem before delivering the lien.” observe that all call-center providers and also the boss had total use of my reimbursement day and other automobile and mortgage data they required. So it's still uncertain in my experience why processing the loan release must have obtained 48 business hours, not to mention the 96 business hours that it seems to possess obtained … and at this time, I just have BoA’s less-than-legitimate term they have really submitted the loan release.

I'm totally disgusted with BoA. Not just have they not been positive in handling their 7-year-old mistake (they got my telephone numbers but never called back again to advise me the issue was postponed or solved), but at each phase, brokers have now been completely ignorant, created reasons, prevaricated, and just experimented with get me off the point as rapidly as you can with no issue for solving the issue. Provided anything I find out about the organization and my very own previous encounters together, I possibly shouldn’t be amazed, but I'm … that the firm this unprofessional proceeds to remain in operation.
