Emerge Master Card
Collections. Calling at work after telling them not to. 3rd party disclousure ripoff

I have an Emerge Master card that has been defunct for a couple of years now. I have advised them that at the present time, I have had to take over my elderly mother's finances, and that I am having difficulty making the monthly payment. I was basically told "tough *" and have been harrassed ever since. I have asked them repeatedly not to call me at work. They have.

One evening when I wasn't home, a collector asked my mother if there was a spouse. When she told the girl no, she proceeded to advise my mother (I am 40) of what my balance was, that I was due for $153.00 and that I was only paying every other month.

When I called back, the person I spoke with told me that he took out my employer's phone number. Also, that he couldn't give out the name of the employee who broke a FEDERAL LAW OF 3RD PARTY DISCLOURE. He did, however, say that he would inform her supervisor.

This has lawsuit written all over it. I feel violated that now my mom knows that I am a little behind on "our" bills. Now she questions me regarding hers, that I am paying with my money.
