My loan was sold to Homeq in December by the Century Mortgage. My insurance and taxes was in the refinancing, the insurance was due 12/24/03. I called when I rec'd a bill from the insurance co. I called them on the 1877-867-7378 and was told by the CSR that we did not have an insurance escrow, which I knew that we did.
I made approxmately 8 calls before I could get someone to look into my accout for info. What the CSR found someone had sent a check (late) to my insurance co, but for the whole year. I had explained in one of those calls that I had already paid the first half in 6/03, which was noted in the loan the other half only was to be paid. What Homeq did was they stripped my escrow account and and upped my monthly mortgage payment (without informing me) almost 200.00 more to cover the escrow acct.
I called my insurance co and they sent the 500.00 and some dollars back to Homeq and noted that this money was to go back into my escrow acct. I have had a time trying to get to talk to someone. I have asked for supervisors or managemet in charge. This company is inconsistant, seemly does not have or follow proper procedures CSR's or not courteous
I will try to get out from under ASAP and advise others not to deal with them.
