Went to speedway gas store #7117, in crestwood IL. Brought 1 payday candy bar to register to purchase, attendant said "You can get 2 for $2.00". Great, I did. Register showed $2.00, I pulled out $3.00, to cover for tax, (approx. $. 16) when she then quoted $2.72. I said ". 72 cents for tax?", she said yeah, I asked for receipt, and she said, "there is none". WHAT IS GOING ON HERE!!! It's not the. 56 cents I lost, it's how many other purchases are being made with the SPEEDWAY TAX HIKE, that consumers are not aware of.
