Total scam. This company called me at work today. Telling me I had some legal allegations pending court appearance. They said I took out a loan back in November of last year. I just checked my statement... Just to be sure and it showed no money ever received from this company. They said the name name of the company was Cash Advance USA. Told me I owed $891 but they could reduce my fees to $658 in two payments of $308 and $350. Then proceeded to ask for a credit card number. So I began asking them questions about when the loan was taken out, how much was it for, even asked for the bank it was deposited into. He told me he didn't have an original copy of my file and that it was with the lawyer on the way to the courts. I told him I'm not giving him any more information until he can show me a document stating when the loan was taken out, when the money was deposited into my account, the acct number and bank. I asked for his number and he gave me 1-866-812-2623. Haven't tried to call it back yet, but I will.
