I recieved a Visa card from Cross Country Bank. I activated it (even though the interest rate was very high) only to discover upon setting up my online account that there was a balance of $89.00 on the card the day I activated it. There was no explanation of the charges available. I am returning the card. So far the rep at the office I called was polite and said that if the card has not been used then I can return it without having to pay the charges. I hope this is true. Anyone who gets one of these cards should not even activate it. This company charges for everything, even for making payments. Thanks to Rip of report for alerting me to this company's tactics before I used the card.
