Hello, I am here to tell you that my dealings with Stewart Finance Company of Louisiana, Inc. Were very unsatisfactory. Here are the reasons: this company has no respect for the customer.
Not only did I have to deal with rude customer service reps, but when I was approved for a loan from this company in the amount of $192.12, my grand total for payments that I had to make to the company was an unusually large $380.00.
This was due to an extremely high annual percentage rate (APR) of 74.88%, which amounted to a finance charge of $61.94 tacked on to my original amount financed [the amount of credit provided to Me ($318.06)]. I never received my original amount financed ($318.06) because my credit was less than perfect, HOWEVER, that gives them NO RIGHT to tack on an additional $126.00 (approx) in MISCELLANEOUS BULLSHIT FEES such as AD&D insurance (what ever this is), some automobile club, non-filing insurance, credit life insurance, credit disability insurance, etc... Etc... So, I get stuck financing a loan with all this extra crap added to it. It is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.
Also, the customer service is terrible. They do their closing procedures (close-out) during times when the customers are ever-present. This makes for long waits that obviously can be avoided if the "loan sharks" back there had any sense of organization. Also, above the "3" windows in this God-forsaken place, there is NO sign stating which line handles which certain thing. I mean, come-on, LABEL the windows so that people can go to the perspective lines in order to receive the service that they need.
I remember when I first applied for my loan; the process took FOREVER. I will NOT repeat my business with this company EVER AGAIN. Also, they never FULLY explain the terms of your loan until it's too late and they've got you HOOKED. These type of people, and this company (in particular), do NOT deserve to be in business AT ALL. With poor customer service and high rates, this is like spitting into the face of every one that walks in to apply for a loan.
Overall, this business (Stewart Finance Company of Louisiana, Inc.) sucks because it is a waste of time and literally "sucks" your money dry after acquiring your loan. I just had to write this because I was ABSOLUTELY PISSED. Take care out there, and watch out, because there are a lot of schemes and scams. Make absolutely sure you're NOT BEING HAD before signing any loan. Make them sweat until they tell you ALL the conditions of the loan, not just what they want to tell you.
