I have been trying to restructure my mortgage with Nationstar Mtg since 2/11. First they needed more information, I submitted it, even though it had already been submitted. Then I was denied because they stated I didn't live at the property, I had to provide documentation that the town renumbered my street. Then they had everything they needed and sent it to the underwriters. After 92 days I received another denial because my current monthly housing expense is less than 31% of my gross income. This calculation should have taken them 5 minutes when they received my paperwork in Feb. They gave me the run-around for weeks to only deny me. When I received my denial letter, I was given an alternative of the Payment Reduction Plan and when I inquired about it, they said they did not offer it. Then why was it on my letter. I was offered to refinance. I was given the options of a 20,25 or 30 yr mtg. Was told I definitely qualified for each. After careful consideration I went with the 20 yr and received an e-mail back stating I did not qualify. This company has given me nothing but the run-around and I feel they use very shady practices. Every time I speak to a person they have different information and are very misleading. First I'm told I qualify, then I'm told I don't. I am only trying to keep my home and they are not offering any solutions.
