I recently obtained a notice from the variety company informing me that I had been being provided a 'negotiation chance' to stay a debt. The selection notice was from Midland Credit Administration also it mentioned the initial lender was FCNB. I'd no idea what this debt was once we reduced our 2 FCNB charge cards (Speigel and Eddie Bauer) a long time ago. I understand these charge cards were compensated entirely approximately 1992-1994 since it was a necessity to be able to get yourself a mortgage to buy a house. I called MCM today and talked using a consultant. I expected him what organization this debt was from and he explained it had been Spiegel, from March 1994. I told him this wasn't a legitimate debt because it was compensated entirely a long time ago. He explained possibly I really could supply evidence the debt was compensated or I really could distribute cost of debt to MCM. I discussed that I'd struggle to supply evidence, because it was 14-16 years back, he explained that I'd subsequently be held accountable for that debt. Am i likely to have to spend the corporation $312, just-so my credit isn't destroyed? Is there some business that protects customers out of this type of injustice?
