As a small business owner in hard economic times, i called my credit card processor to inquire about closing our account because of fee's and the annual so called membership fee for them to make money off of me. I told the associate we wanted to cancel their services and would shop around for another merchant provider. The associate told me there would be a $495 early termination fee. I explained we had been with them for over 4 years, how long is the contract, he replied it renews for 3 years every 3 years unless you mail your request to terminate at the end of the 3 years. I replied i can't afford the $495, so i'll call back if i decide to cancel. The next day they debited my account $495 and closed my account. I called back, we are so sorry but once the accounts closed we can't help you. Needless to say this company is like politicians and the problem with this country, GREEEED!!! Why can't any service provider put the customer first.
