I had a very bad virus so I called Mircosoft Support and thought I had them on the phone. I was told the service was free and allowed this lady to come in my system remoteley. She brought up the event viewer showing many viruses and trojans. So she installed the super bug software to remove my problems. After 44 minutes she said now that it is time to remove your troubles it will be 499.00. I told her she told me over and over it was free. I asked why would mircosoft charge me 499.00 for a free service and why would webroot do this to me? She maintained she did indeed represnt these companies and told me she will try to get me a discount. After holding for 10 minutes she came back and told me good news it is 169.00 and I will get a 1 year warranty. I demanded she leave my system and take her software out of my computer. She did. I filed a police report and also contacted federal authorities as well. She had access to all of my files while she was in there looking around. I called webroot and never got through so I wrote to them to tell them what happened. I got a call and was told Iyogi has done this in the past but Iyogi does not represent them at all. I tried an experiment and installed the superbug software I found online and found it is not a good virus remover and maybe fake or a scam to steal your info but not sure. The copyright is from 2008. Anyway beware of Iyogi and report these scams like I did.
