I had a house fire. My son was cookin in it started with the greese on the stove. I tried to put the fire out, after it became to get bigger i yell for kids to get out. My 16 year old grab my son in ran out the patio door in my room in the process he not over my dresser and my flat screen tv and laptop went with. It my house was full of smoke, so my kids were scare n could not see. My yougest has astma n began to cough, so to my son it was no importance that what was breaking to get evryone out. I ran to get phone and call the fire department. I went back in the kitchen with my blanket to begain to put fire out again, but atfer i put the fire out in the pot notice that it was another on stove i put that out. The fire man was walkin in n begain to take me out thhhey came in and blew out the hall way tht was fill with smoke n then put the fan in the apartment to blow it out for it was fill wit smoke. I only stay in a two bedroom apartment so it was fill with smkoe from the ceiling to my ankles. When i started my complaint wit the insurance company i had several people tell me diffirent things they kept sending my papers to the wrong address. When i finally got them and send in the things that got damange i took pictures n they took pictures after battle wit so many different people they did not cover these things in the reason why
Cell phone that was on counter it was burn but they said it was not from the pictures n if i hve the phone i can show them, but i was inform that i can throw things away after pictures was taken so dnt hve, they said the phone only had a greesy oil on it (remember it was a greese fire so why wouldn't it hve it all over the phone
My dresser, 32"tv / RCA cause they said that they dnt cover things that was broken in fire (even tho the apartment was fill with smoke so u clould not see to get out do to the fire) and to show u how they are dis organize i said my laptop was drop wen was on dresser to, they said they wld pay for that after get it look at, but not the other things (now how could that be done) and i told the story over in over again.
The last thing was my son X box 360 my 8 year old was playing it when the fire started. First they told me to have some one look at it to see it can b clean, even gave me a place to go. I did that and they said was a x box has been any fire it is no good they dnt do anything with it that i would just hve to replace it. When i call then back n gave them that report then they say they will not cover it cause it was not that much smoke to damange the x box in another room (rememeber my 2bedroom apartment had to b blown out after the hall way got blown out and the fire department told me to find another place to stay for a while that they paid for me to stay) and pay for a clean up crew to come in and clean up the sud that is left from smoke all over the house n offer to pay for cloths for every wash to get smoke smell out of cloths, please tell me how is this done.
I did not hve much to begain with i was just starting over from being homeless then a fire come and take wht little i have. I thought i was goin to get bk atlease what was taken. They were so nice when it came to taking my money for the policy u only had to talk to one person, but when it came to the claim it seem like they was not understanding at all i was so tired of them i just let some things go i had to breathing machine for son asthma they did now wnt to replace they wnted to clean (who would want to put a breathing machine in somebody trust to clean it rite that is my son life and after i go through all the trouble they gave me about having some boody say that they dnt clean those just replace them they wnted me to show papers on the machine tht i have for years i got my doctor to replace one bt the other was so old i had to know idea who to even call. They said to me well u have one machine wht do u need 2 for (i had 2 before it started and i wld take one wit me n leave the other home in case the machine got lost are broken it was not a toy it was a breathing machine
I am very unhappy with there service and would never advise no one to go to them i hve been through so much and kids no x mas cause of all this mess i dnt think it is fair and plan to do everything i can to get what is fair to me and my kids
