Brenda and Associates appeared on my bank account as a debit drawn using my debit card. I have never heard of these people and rarely would there be a debit that small on my account so it caught my eye. Upon investigation it seems that Brenda and Associates have pulled this stunt many times. Now I have to cancel my debit cards, wait for new ones and hope more charges do not appear.
Banks are hard to work with on this because the funds are taken when using a debit card. Thank goodness the debit was $4.93 and not some crazy other cash withdrawl. It's a good scam, I'll have to admit. Rarely would someone question a $4.93 debit even if you don't know the name you would think it was for soft drinks and/or snacks and forget about it. However, what if these people are doing this several hundred or thousand times per day???
I read an article that said Brenda and Associates was was a one person operation with sales of over $62,000 so they've already hit nearly 12,600 people at the time of that printing.
