Transfirst presents themselves as a small business friendly credit card processing company. I signed up thinking that I could use them to process my credit card clients, however, it turned out that I had very little credit card business. I contacted Transfirst to cancel my account. I was told that I would be charged $495.00 to close my acct! Incredible! They claim I have a contract informing me this, however, going back and looking at my contract, there IS NO mention of this charge. I have contacted the BBB in Colorado, and I called Transfirst back to inform them that I did that and that I was poised to write a report on this site. They do no care.
Now, I was also informed when I signed up that if I was not operating my business for a month or so, I could put a hold on the monthly charges. SO I called again to see if they will do that for March and April. They submitted that request, and told me they would call me back, IF they could grant my request!
That was today, Feb 18.
Insane.
