I recently obtained my credit report and discovered that CAMCO has been making inquiries to my tranunion file, and the permissable purpose listed as credit transaction, or written authorization. The type of inquiries is also listed as individual, and is listed for 2 years.individual inquiries are when if you submit an application for credit, the company looks at your credit. I never applied for credit with CAMCO.
I have disputed their claim of debt in writing, sent registered mail. I have requested verification of their claim that i owe them a debt. I have sent a letter to cease and desist collections. I get no response from them, i file a dispute with tranunion, and request CAMCO not be allowed to access my file, they tell me to take it up with CAMCO. I get no response from them, and they continue to access my credit file, without a permissable purpose. Any suggestions on how to stop CAMCO?
