Negetive note on my credit reports

I'm a cosigner for my childis student loan. She chose to go back to college to acquire her BSN. Our child approached AES and started the paperwork for defering her two loans. She'd experienced regular connection with AES and was informed to not be worried about the August cost. I obtained a late-notice and named AES myself and was again informed to not be worried about the cost. I've since found AES has documented the August cost thirty days late on my credit rating plus they will not correct this
