My girlfriend and I were involved in a credit card/bank account scam! She was emailed a letter regarding cleaning up credit. We had previously applied for a few credit cards online with MAJOR banks and Visa & Mastercard sites. She latter recieved an email from Superior Benefits telling her she had recieved the ability to accept a credit card with a balance of $2,000 but needed a $299 deposit (as a secured credit card would need). She did this with out 1st checking refferences (Big Mistake, and I mean Big Dam Mistake!!!). She then replyed to there email and gave the requested info, and then about 2 days later she decided that she need not a credit card at this time. So, she calls and gets a name (AKA NAME 1A for refference), but no confirmation numbers! Mistake # 2... They assure her the money will not be debited out of her account. Next she calls her Bank and explans the debit issue. The bank says they will watch the account (YA RIGHT!) Then 2 days later she calls again and she verbaly confronts a few tiers of employees. All of which call her a liar, and tell her that they have no information of her previous calls 2 days earlier. Another guy gets on the phone and tells her that if he was the one to take the call he would have told her she was SOL. AT this time there were several people in the back ground saying just f@#ing hang up un her and other non buisness language. She then calls her bank and speaks with the branch bank manager & the Bank Investigator, and say that they will be in contact either that night or the next day. I am the boyfriend of this woman that has been taken by scam, and I myself have been taken to the cleaners for $2,600 at one time so I try real hard to stay cautious. I will now release all the information that I have in regards to this scam.
