If you are a business or a borrower OR a loan originator/broker... Stay as far away from Wiseman Capital Group as you can. You will be promised the world, but will never close a loan with them. I had 6 loans with them and the interminable delays hurt my borrowers and my credibility.
The best way to describe this phony, sham of a "lender" is in the words of a borrower, and then someone who was hired as a loan originator for the company. First, the borrower's story:
"I have the same problem withWiseman Capital Group, This guy Rey Rodriguez has taken a large due diligencefee from me and promised the skies. However, after months and months of waitingto clear to close and the slick talk of we are in underwriting, the skies areturning black and grey. If there are claims against this company please advise. This type of behavior has to stop. My hard earned money is tied up with thiscompany."
And now the story from the loan originator/broker:
"Unfortunately I wasassociated with Wiseman Capital. The owner offered me a position (commissiononly) as a sales rep for the western US and offered to send some of the callsthat came off websites to me. This occurred. The only problem with Wiseman was thatwe never could get anything closed. Anything at all. I sent in completecreampuff deals and they would go into a netherworld of half baked underwritingresponses and long periods of no contact and no reponses to my emails. Thecompany never had me take money from clients up front though, so neither me normy clients ever got burned for money. But we just could never get anythingfunded. So I stopped sending in business. About 3 weeks ago I started to get calls from people trying to get ahold of ReyRodriguez, so they were calling other numbers on the website and they calledmine. As the days went by the callers became angrier and angrier, till the lastseveral days I have had at least 3 tell me that he had taken upfront fees andthen stopped communicating and they were going to call the FBI or local lawenforcement."
