Paypal ignores reasonableness

I have had a verified paypal account for several years and have been conducting business via a paypal portal on my website. Recently a client of mine did a charge back for a payment made to me in August of this year. The amount was 300 dollars. I contacted the client and he states it was accidental and said he would reverse the charge back. That was over 2 weeks ago. Paypal removed the funds from my account immediately. The reason given for the charge back was "unauthorized charge". I provided paypal with an email string with the client going back to April of this year. The string contained all the information needed to show that I had a legitimate contract with the client, the 300 dollar deposit was legit, thye original charge was authorized, and that the client received the product and made a final payment for the product. It is my conclusion that the client did a charge back because the land transaction he was working on did not work out in his favor... Thus he thought he did not need to pay for my services. The second payment he gave me was by check so the SOB can't get his thieving hands on that. But along comes paypal and helps him steal 300 dollars from my paypal account. I strongly encourage anybody thinking of getting a paypal account to rethink that position. If you do get a paypal account do not under any circumstances associate a checking account to it. You may not become "verified". All that means is paypal will assist in stealing funds right from your checking account. If you have funds in paypal... Go spend it immediately because paypal has no problem taking anything out of your account based on flimsy evidence and outright lies. If you have a paypal account you may want to close it and check out other merchant services such as Ixxxx. Good luck and do not allow paypal to clean out your accounts for anybody.
Sorry, allowing you to give a competitors name would instigate others to just file against their competition, to only come back later to suggest their company your comments on this policy are welcome!
