Ripoff Avoided! Telemarketer tried to get my checking account information after offering me a "too good to be true" credit card offer for a VISA with a $5,000 credit limit. They stated there would be a one-time fee of $219 and that they wouldn't draft my checking account until I had previewed the package that they would mail to me. I wasn't comfortable giving my checking account information over the phone and asked him to just mail me the information. He became agitated and more pushy - stating he needed to check the checking account number to see if it was valid. I told him that I wanted to research the company and the offer first and instructed him to call me back after a few days. My research led me to this site! Thanks to usacomplaints.com! You saved me $219!
