I deposited Girl Scout money into Capital one. The woman who took the money gave me the multiple deposit slips validated with the same amount of money I had for deposit.
A few months later I was told that they denied my deposit. I asked them where the cashiers check from my bank was. They knew nothing about it. When I brought it to them they asked me where they put it. I told them they were the bank and to find it.
They finally said I made the cashiers check but nothing else.
They came up with the story I couldn't tell them exactly how much of each amounts I put in. Then they said their accounting machine doesn't work correctly so they denied my deposit.
They said I pocketed the money and they were correct. I now have to pay GS council the thousands of dollars that they said I didn't deposit.
The bank and council have said they can do nothing more to help me.
I went to Capital One and no help. I called capital one and no help. I have been depositing money in banks before and never mistook 1's for 100's. Suddenly they are ripping people off left and right at this bank. I don't know what to do next. If I don't pay the money to council I can be prosecuted.
