I saw an ad in Newsday under mortgage lenders. Advantage Home Lenders had a very good interst rate so I called the number. Tom Lotito is the mortgage broker who answered. We made an appointment for him to come to my house. He seemed reputable & knowledgable so my husband & I gave him our information to go ahead. Social security numbers, income statements, IRS statements, bank statements, Copies of Contracts of Sale for the house we are selling and thenew condo we are buying. We signed documents for him to get our credit scores, etc. He never contacted us again. We called and e-maile hi repeatedly. We requested our docs back. He finally sent an e-mail that he was sending the docs. It is over a week and we have not received anything. I don't know what he is doing with our personal information and we are worried.
