My insurance company hired this firm to adjust the fire damage at my residence. Skip Kirby came out to meet me and brought a restoration company with him... (weird huh)? He tried to get me to sign a contract with the company he brought, but I chose to use someone else.
At that point this guy became a nightmare. He has tried to rip me off in every way possible. He has lied about parts of my policy stating I have less coverage than I really do and won't return me or my contractor's calls. He even had an engineer come out and lie in an engineering report (see report on McClellan Rudick and Affiliates, Inc.). My contractor had to have the building inspector come out just to fail a framing inspection because Skip kept saying the floor wasn't burned.
This guy is a joke! Don't let your insurance company hire this guy if they don't have their own outside adjusters. I don't know how this guy sleeps at night. I am a single mother with cancer and I have two girls and live on a fixed income.
He is now trying to cut off our money for housing and put me and my daughters in the street. I have around $20,000 for additional living expenses in my policy and have used maybe $3,000 of it. This is a nasty man!
