Can someone please refer me to a lawyer in michigan for civil litigation against this company... Please. The homeowners protection act of 1988 clearly states that once 20% of a homes appraised value at the time of purchase is paid off then no P.M.I. Is required. My P.M.I. Is about 60$ a month. They charge me pmi anyway although my home at the time of purchase was appraised and documented at over 20% more then I purchased it for. The best part is they "according to their records they cannot find any information that they are paying a P.M.I. On my behalf" (because legally they can't) however they collect it every month. Also every year i have a bill for escrow shortages wich I paid twice last year and now this year they are increasing my payments despite my escrow shortage payment in full. I want to fire them. Everytime i think o.K. Just pay, its just a little money then they just try to pull more crap. I have never had a late payment I own 3 other houses, only theirs is not paid off. Can someone refer me to a finance company that i could re-finance through. I dont have 3 maxed out credit cards and i paid off my car early and own 3 other homes free and clear so my credit is shaky I do not have any outstanding debts, i pay things off and buy what i can afford not charge it yet that is why my credit score is lower than it should be-what is wrong with that picture... I was reading about a class action suit against litton that was won and the members won like 60$ each... Seriously did i missunderstand that? Surely I must have, what was the law firms cut? I just want free of them-loan company from hell.
