I purchased a vehicle from Auto Credit of Post Falls. The vehicle I have no complaints about. It runs beautifully and is sound. However the Finance company Phoenix Financial is not so great. Today I was 2 days late on my payment, mind you have a 5 day grace period before I'm even considered late and accrue a late fee. I received three phone calls while I was at work from an employee there, they wanted to know where my payment was. I told them I had it however I had been busy the last couple of days. The women who I spoke to was extremely rude.
This isn't my first run in on this deal with them. Several months ago, I had been 9 days late on a payment because I had lost my job due to this wonderful economy that we are experiencing right now. Again this company was calling me 3x per day or more to get payment out of me. They threatened to repo the vehicle because I was now "Delinquent" on the account, which mind you I was. I had explained to the women who I was speaking too that I was expecting a check within the next couple of days. She told me that was not acceptable and that she would tell her managers however they would not be likely to agree and that the vehicle would be repoed, and then hung up on me. Just for info this women's name was Nicole. I called her right back and she refused my call and I was to transferred her voicemail, where I left a not so nice message because I had been hung up on. The funny thing was I happened to be sitting in the kitchen next to the kitchen window when there repo truck pulled into my driveway and turned around just as I hung up from leaving her voice mail. Yes I did see the super duper secret lift in the back.
Her boss Marissa called me back about fifteen minutes later and threatened me even further. She told me that the message I had left was not acceptable, and that if ever talked to her employees like that again that she would call the police on me (even though mind you they are the ones who called me). Marissa also denied that she had a repo driver in my area even though I saw the vehicle took down the license place and was able to locate the owner information after filing a police report, the vehicle was infact theirs. Marissa then gave me until 5:30pm the next day to pay or she was going to take legal action against me. I did make the payment the next day.
I also did pull my credit report this year and found the Phoenix Financial had been running inquiries on my credit through all three credit bureaus as recently as April. I contact the credit bureaus to find out if this was necessary for financial institution to report credit; I was told no. I have had a loan with them for over a year and they have failed to report any of my credit information to any credit bureau even though they advertise that they report to all three of them on a monthly basis.
My recommendation is do not do business with this company, I have found a co-signer and will be re-financing this vehicle through a bank, and most likely contacting attorney.
