To all of you out there plesae read this, along with any other people who have been scammed and taken for a ride like us by this firm. Back in April my husband and I ran into financial difficulties and behind on our mortgage. I saw an advertisement on msnbc for this national foreclosure consultant group. I looked up the website and went on from there. To my knowledge now I looked up the wrong website, watch for the ".com or.net.org's." I was contacted by a Mr Chris Foti with TNFCG and we spent a good 2 hours on the phone. He was extrememly nice and well had a way with words to "ease" your mind and mortgage worries. We were not facing foreclosure at this time on our home, however I saw potential for getting further behind and sought help. Mr Chris Foti talked a great game, he told me no more worries, they would take care of all finances, communications and a guaranteed loan modification. Mr. Chris Foti also stated that this process usually only takes 60-120 days and the process is so painless. Mr Foti specifically told me not to pay our mortgage as it didn't matter because they would be doing a loan modification. He also told me that all communication (s) would be through them and my mortgage company (Wells Fargo). I expressed to him that this "sound to good to be true." Mr Chris Foti said, "I know, but we are a legite service here to provide for you in this national crisi. You are not the only one and we have done hundreds of modifications. We are the pros. Let us help you." So after this I talked with my husband who wasn't all for it, but said ok do it. So for a "small" fee as Chri Foti put it, over $2,000 this would kick start our loan modification process. Wow... How stupid am I, what a fool because I fell hard for his lies and empty promises. We paid that fee, which for us was a lot of money, hard earned money at that. Over the next several months I never heard from him. I sent multiple emails, made multiple phone calls, and nothing. I got a reply a months later after I sent a not so nice email and a return call actually from Mr. Foti. I asked why this process was taking so long and he gave me excuses like, "the mortgage companies prolong this, we are working on it, your file is being updated." I was also introduced to Kim Scott at the time who was handling our "case." The only words I got out of her were, "well we talked to your mortgage company and updated your file. We are just waiting." I started to become extermely concerned because there was no progress, no word or anything. I continued to call TNFCG and continuously got no answer or return call, as well as no return email.in fact, I got "this number no longer in service" multiple times. I have requested our money back and nothing has been done about it. I have also left messages for Mr E. Velahos (the wonderful attorney who was per Mr Chris Foti our "attorney") and nothing. I finally took matters into my own hands, and it looks like its too late. I have talked with our mortgage company numerous times and foreclosure is inevitable. We now loose our home, our money we paid to this poor excuse of a company and law firm as well as the people who work (really scam people is a better term) and our credit is destroyed. I still continue to email this firm/group and get no response. We live in Texas and I have noticed that they are equal opportunity. They take and scam anyone from anywhere in any situation. Please beware and learn from us, don't get caught up in a scam like this. You can talk to your mortgage company and do the same thing yourself!
