Omg. I don't think I have ever expericenced a scam as bad as this.in December 09, I borrowed $500 from cashbanc. I was initially told that I would have to pay $700 (or a little more or a little less, depending on who you speak with) to pay off the loan. We agreed on an amount that would be deducted from my checking account on my paydays. Well, after a couple of deductions from my account, I started to notice random amounts of money being deducted from my account. At times, they deducted two payments at one time from my account.
I did some calculations and I have paid cashbanc $910 on a $500 loan. On top of that, they are now telling me that I need to make a one-time payment of an additional $500 at this time in order to settle the account. If not, they would extend my loan and I would owe another other $700 dollars. So basically, I can potentially pay about $1610.00 for a $500 loan. I can't believe this is legal.
Please everyone reading this, please don't borrow any money from this company. I believe it meets the definition of a ripoff or predatory lender. I believe somebody needs to be looking into this company and its practices.
