I tried to build credit for my future. I had a capital one credit card for a year and made all payments perfectly. Then I was charged extra fees and was unhappy with my service. I had my card and account terminated over the phone and paid all money fee's due to settle my account over the phone at the same time. I was told my account was terminated. 3 months later when I returned from overseas I noticed this absurd account in my credit that stated i had a $60 unpaid bill with capital one for over 2 months. To make a long story short, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO BUILD CREDIT!!! I did and paid all bills on time for a whole year just to have them screw it up and actually make my credit look worse for a fake $60 fee imposed after I closed my account. Extreme rip-off.
And to make matters worse, credit reporting agencies continued to post the false information even after I made them aware that i was ripped off!!! Be very carefull! They all work together to make sure they get your money! Even when you dont owe them! Orchard Bank takes a lot more fees, but atleast they are honest.
