Received several e-mails during past year for "Work from home processing refunds for Fed Ex."
On 9/24/03 I applied on-line for this and gave them credit card number to pay $39.95. A few days later I received unuseable web page with "gibberish" about how to use it (Refund Recovery Software?). I replied asking for refund. No reply.
Almost every day since then I have sent e-mails to [email protected] to refund $39.95. No reply.
On 10/7/03 received card bill with charge from FREEWEB, Phone: 888-357-3693. On 10/8/03 I called and could only leave message. No one returned call.
Today, 10/9/03 called again and "Rick" stated that company would not refund because web site had already been sent to me and they couldn't take it back.
I can't use it. It doesn't mean anything. Evidently, Fed Ex has nothing whatsoever to do with this.
They did not tell me up front that this was NON-REFUNDABLE. Now I find that it's all a scam.
I called card company and they said they couldn't take it off my bill. Now I'm out $39.95. I've always stayed away from this sort of thing, but thought that since I'd seen it so many times, it must be legit. Wrong!
