On April 24 my car was t-boned by another car.
I pulled over and the other car stopped next to me.
My freind, who was driving behind me witnessed the accident.
The car that hit me fled the scene. There were multiple witnesses and identification was provided.
I turned the information into my agent at farmers and waited. The response was seriously delayed.
I found out that the car that hit me was a rental and the man who rented it was insured by farmers. He denied driving the car and said his buddy was driving it. His buddy denied driving also.
I then found out that both him and his buddy were insured by farmers. I tried to persue a legal action through my insurance group to no avail.
Franklin Insurance group told me that because they could not prove who was behind the wheel that they would place the accident under my uninsured motorist insurance.
That pretty much alieviated Farmers hit. And cost me a deductible that I have yet to receive.
I would imagine that the person who hit me either got off scott free, or dropped by Farmers.in any event, I lost. My shoulder and hip still hurt (not a lot) and I'm still out the money and time off work.
I'm now even hesitant to turn in another hit to my car. This happened in the Zoo parking lot. No note, just a good ding. But I have to eat it again.
Now (today) I am battling Farmers bad (or illegal) accounting practices. Once again, the rep I spoke with a month ago is no longer with Farmers.
Lies, inefficiency, confusion, conflict of interest.
What a job.
And to think... I have no points on my insurance. It's clean, and been that way since I first started driving 20 years ago. Why am I the one paying and paying?
If the state requires insurance... They need to investigate insurance companies (especially those who seem to be using customer money for other things)
