Fairbanks Capital Ripped off by ME! They are stupid idiots!

In July of we finally sold our house and paid off our mortgage with Fairbanks. This cost us nearly $12,000 more than we originally borrowed due to "late" fees, drive by inspections, appraisals they had done etc. Fine, just get me away from them.

But, we accidently overpaid the payoff by $250.00. When I contacted Fairbanks about this, they said they would send a check in 30 days. So I waited. After about 45 days I call again and find out they sent the check to someone in South Carolina! I live in Kentucky. So, they say they will put a stop payment on the check and reissue it. I suggested they pay me via an overnight Western Union payment but they would not do it. Jackasses.

Anyway to make a long story short, I received the check on Friday, October 3rd. Then, I received ANOTHER check on Monday, October 6th.

As of now, I'm $250.00 richer due to these idiots and they'll play hell getting it back from me. Lessee, I could lose the check, deposit it in a suspense account, deduct all sorts of handling fees, etc.

Let's see what kind of fun I can have with them.

BTW, has anyone ever toyed with the idea of taking them to Small Claims Court to try and recover some of their bogus fees? I had them send me all of the so called "drive-by" inspections they had done and found many descrepancies. Several of them said that the property was verified as the correct property by a "personal interview with the owner". I've never talked to anyone. Other's said the property was verified by the name on the mailbox. Not my mailbox as it had no name.

So, I'm thinking of suing them in small claims for the maximum of $1500 (in Kentucky) just to start some trouble with them.

May they burn in an eternal hell.

Signed,

No longer theirs
