I was linked to this site by the OFFICIAL IRS WEBSITE, so I figured it was legitimate.
After filling out all my sensitive information, including SS#, bank account numbers (for direct deposit purposes), and Credit Card number (to pay for the unannounced $19.95 charge for filing the State version) - I entered the purchase paid.
I clicked the purchase button, only to wait for 5 minutes while the page continued to unsuccessfully load. I was then given an error message, and could not get back to the purchase page.
Even worse, I'm unable to login to the site again. The service sent me an automatic email with my login details (which are our SS# and a personal password that you create). Outrageously, the site doesn't recognize my SS# anymore, basically claiming that I've never used the site before.
This smells like an outright scam, DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. I have identity theft protection thankfully, and will change all bank account information now. I will also file a report with the IRS, and whatever higher services I need to contact to ensure my safety.
