I just received a collection notice from RJM Acquisitions Funding LLC on 22 Mar for an apparent debt I did not settle with Fingerhut in Dec 1997 for a $164 lava lamp. First of all, who pays $164 for a lava lamp??? Second of all, who waits 13 years to try and collect on it??? They do have the address correct for that time frame and I have done business with Fingerhut in the past (mainly the 90's) but I dont remember a $164 lava lamp. I have just contacted Fingerhut to try and validate if I did indeed purchase this item. Thankfully I was able to gather a lot of information via blogs on this company. Hopefully I can clear this up quickly but from what I have read so far on the postings, this is going to be an uphill battle.
